                                                      他走了

                       你可以因他走了而流淚，你也可以因他來過而笑；

               你可以閉上眼睛祈禱他會回來，你也可以張開眼睛看看他留了什麼下來；

                   你可以因看不到他而心靈空虛，你也可以心中充滿了他給的愛；

                  你可以活在過去，背對未來；你也可以樂見明天，因為昨日已逝；

                 你可以只記得他的離去，你也可以珍惜有他的回憶，並讓它繼續存在。

                       你可以哭泣、封閉心靈、感覺空虛和轉身逃避；

                或者，你寧可做他所希望的：微笑、打開胸懷、去愛和好好的活下去。

He is gone

Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

 【按】：2011/2/26清晨從台中乘坐高鐵趕赴老友姜渝生的安息禮儀，上午十點，在台北聖家堂準時開始。在他友好籌辦的「老姜，向永恆啟程」中，除了將渝生瀟灑自喻的詩句「吾道行時下九州，不行四海任遨遊」印在程序表首頁之外，內頁錄引了David Harkins的詩句，我讀後深受感動，我認為這些詩句和安排是非常姜渝生的，抄錄於此，和大家分享一位灑脫的學者，他的風範與胸懷。David Harkins的這首詩寫於於1981年，2002年英國女王在她母親葬禮上也選用了它，當時不知作者姓名，署以「佚名」，後來才知出自David Harkins之作。
